ALTERNATIVE TO RESIDENTIAL AND NURSING HOME PROVISIONS
Live-In Care is when a carer resides with the client in their own home, usually in the guest bedroom whilst on placement, typically rotating with another carer on a 2 week roster.

We believe if and when given the choice - most individuals would prefer to live in their own homes compared to a residential or a nursing home provision. It is a familiar setting, a place of comfort and 1:1 support means less rushing around so the attention and care is focussed on you - offering continuity and quality time.
The Benefits...

The benefits on live-in care is that you can truly follow your own routine and schedule and whenever you are ready at your own pace - there will always be someone on hand to answer your call, without having to wait.

A familiar face and carer will mean there is less time wasted on introduction and learning ones habits and routines which often leads to frustration - from our experience.
Good Morning
The carer will work to your schedule - typically a morning will begin with a freshly prepared breakfast to meet your preferences and dietary needs where identified, extra support such as assistants with feeding for those who suffer with certain conditions as with medication(s) can be done where agreed.

After your first meal of the day and once again in your own time, should you choose, your carer will assist with getting you ready for the day to help meet your hygiene requirements and with dressing.

Whatever your routine, you should work with and communicate with your carer, this is your life and we endorse - I N D I V I D U A L I T Y.

Good Afternoon
Whether you have plans to head out for leisure, an appointment to attend or equally choose to have a quiet day in, your carer will support you and your lifestyle including any hobbies you may have.

Lunchtime is a perfect way to get involved to plan and prepare recipes together - Go Ahead, Try Something New!

Afternoon Tea

As we age we must pay particular care and attention to ensure we are adequately hydrated and that our nutritional needs are met. The carers will take an active approach to encourage these aspects of your life throughout your day.

Ensuring you are fuelled and your energy levels are up to par...
Evening
Approaching towards the end of the day, the carers will help prepare for your evening meal of your choice. The carers will ensure your home is warm and comfortable as well as safe and secure.

Whenever you decide to retire for the night, the carer will assist with your bedtime routine and help get you comfortably into bed and complete any outstanding domestic duties such as laundry etc.

The above example is merely to demonstrate a typical day with how live-in care works. As mentioned we encourage and endorse individuality.

The services provided by the carers are to enable independence and to support with ones personal lifestyle, it should never feel institutionalised.
